I wonder who else is integrating SugarCRM with RT?

Is this (Sugar/RT/Asterisk) something worth doing and creating an AppStack?

My company uses VTiger, which seems to be a SugarCRM fork. It's terrible. I would love to make RT be the default ticketing system instead of VTiger, but ideally that would mean somehow slurping the existing tickets (and any custom fields, etc, of which there are many) into something shaped like RT tickets, then coming up with cross-links so that the CRM record in VTiger goes to the RT ticket database and vice versa. (Also, we use Asterisk, so if things could hook into that then all the better.) -- @cdevers
